    If the external world still has a pull for you then move in that direction. Self Inquiry will have no real interest for you other than an intellectual knowing that one can add to their external content of knowing. If you are done with external desires and Self knowing is a burning pull for you then you are at the threshold and will go inward. Self Inquiry is an inward movement.
